How to translate the visitor facing strings. Confusingly, the core module Interface Translation that we will use is not limited to only the back-end admin UI (the part that uses the admin theme). See #2864972: Content and interface translation don't clearly separate.
Steps
- Enable the Drupal core module Interface Translation.
- Make sure you have at least two languages enabled on the site at admin/config/regional/language
- Go to admin/config/regional/translate
- Filter on Permalink in the field String contains.
- Provide a translation in the right column (if not already there).
- Repeat from step #4 and do the same for the strings:
- HTML code to copy to your site or email message:
- Click below to select, Ctrl + C to copy.
- Right-click to (two occurrences)
- If you have additional languages enabled, repeat from step #4 but now change the filter field Translation language.
Consider contributing your translations on Drupal 8 translation status | Translations.
