Grayside commentedIt will at least be redundant content most of the time.
On the other hand, issue status is occasionally useful in the release notes, lets you identify issues that have popped back open since the original deployment of a resolution.
Grayside commentedNeeds more info. I think the current situation is the sane default. If there is a strong desire, I could see a case of using that format and dropping the commit message when issue numbers exist.
dave reidIf people use proper commit messages, the current method for release notes works just fine. I think this is a won't fix.
petsagouris commentedDo you have some sort of a specific format for this?I am sorry, bad post, please delete if possible.Comment #5
petsagouris commentedHere you go, added '--drupal-links' option flag.
Grayside commentedSomething about the brace/hash syntax prevents serving of the file. Please reroll.
I take it you would use this option?
petsagouris commentedOk, renamed the patch filename.
I currently do not use this option, no. But I was really excited about the potential that #1 has brought up.
Grayside commentedThis can't go forward if it also erases the contribution credits. As such, it is dependent on #1319350: Create links to user/author but practically dependent on the resolution of the multiple authors problem discussed in #1127320: Expose git attribution string in user profiles and menu callback.

wizonesolutionsHrm...is there a d.o infrastructure issue out for a filter to link to issues without showing the issue title? Seeing issue status is what I'm after (though they'd hopefully be fixed anyway if they're in release notes...and it's kind of historical information).
jcnventuraI updated the patch to the latest codebase, but I realise that this really need a d.o filter that prints only the issue number and the status, and omits the title.
