2-click solution for third party iframes for better GDPR compliance.

** This module is in a very early development status and not intended for use in production. Please help in development, testing and feedback! **

Why

Embedded iframes may set cookies, which should only happen after users explicit content due to GDPR.

How

iframes to be handled by this module need to
have their "src" attribute temporarily removed / renamed to "data-iframe-privacy-src"

It's the aim of this module to solve this as simple as possible for site admins / maintainers!

Functionality:

  • None yet, see plan and help developing ;)

Plan:

  • Configuration page with (translatable) placeholder message
  • Javascript handling for all matching iframes
  • iframe field formatter
  • oEmbed field formatter
  • input filter
  • [Optional bonus] Auto-mode which moves iframe "src" to "data-blocked-src" and requires the according script to run first in head (like auto-cookie-blockers do)
  • [Optional bonus] Whitelisting for certain iframe urls / local iframes
  • EU Cookie compliance integration to hide 2-click for certain categories
